About this blog

I initially set out to review my own approach and re-evaluate what goals I had in the coming years – financial or otherwise, before realizing it might be useful to others. Your goals, approaches, and mindset are entirely unique and should be the result of your own decision-making process!

There are no shortcuts, and very few secrets to financial independence – time is the biggest factor by and large. I’m not a financial advisor, just someone who has been very fortunate to be able to learn what I have and hope to apply them to my own goals: financial freedom to have the time to enjoy what’s important to me in life. Moderation is key, as it is with most things, and there are things that money cannot so we each should look to balance both the short term and long term.

I’ll look to examine the many aspects to consider since, that too, is unique to everyone. Benefits through your employment or self-managed as a contractor/business owner, assets versus debts, and even the tax implications of each.

Hopefully each post here serves as a discourse since I’m hoping to continue learning and adjusting as time goes on or as priorities change.
